Coghlin Companies Promotes Matthew Giza to Vice President and General Manager of Cogmedix

Cogmedix, an ISO13485-certified, U.S. – based, FDA compliant contract manufacturing and services company promotes Matthew Giza to Vice President and General Manager. In his new role, Giza will report to President and CEO Chris Coghlin, leading all aspects of Cogmedix’s business including sales, customer and program management, operations, and finance and administration.As VP and General Manager, Giza is responsible for Cogmedix’s compliance with the FDA Quality System Regulation and certification to ISO 13485.

“Matt has led by example since the day he joined Cogmedix, demonstrating a very strong work ethic, positive and constructive management style, and strength in fostering excellent customer relationships,” said President and CEO, Chris Coghlin. “This, combined with his vast experience in manufacturing FDA compliant devices, has enabled continued growth and exciting opportunities for our Medical Device Contract Manufacturing Division.”

Giza joined Cogmedix in 2010 from Zygo Corporation’s Optical Systems Division where he served as Director of Sales and Marketing. As a member of the senior management team, he helped evolve and lead the overall business strategy for the division and was responsible for business development and diversification strategies, with a significant focus in the Life Sciences market. Prior to that Giza was Director of Worldwide Sales and Service for GSI Group’s optical scanning product line where he was responsible for worldwide sales, service, technical support, and collaborating on product marketing strategies focused on gaining market share.
