Columbia Tech Accepts Innovator of the Year Award from Westborough Economic Development Committee

Columbia Tech, the product development and contract manufacturing subsidiary of Coghlin Companies is pleased to announce that they have received the prestigious Innovation Award from the Westborough Economic Development Committee for 2015. The award was presented earlier this week at the Second Annual Year in Review Celebratory Event.

“We are honored to receive this award from the Westborough Economic Development Committee,” stated Chris Coghlin, President and CEO of Columbia Tech. “We are thankful for all our Caring Associates and customers who have collaborated to achieve great results, thus allowing us to meaningfully contribute to growth and strengthening of our economy. We are committed to further expansion and supporting our local community in 2016 and beyond.”

Columbia Tech accepted the award for innovation; several other local business also received awards. Other recognized business included the Yummy Mummy Bakery (“New Small Business”) aand Simplivity (“Company to Watch”). Special guest speak Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and EDC Chairwoman Deborah Penta expressed gratitude toward the local businesses of Westborough for bringing growth, stability and prosperity to the town.

Columbia Tech received the final award of the night, “Innovator of the Year”, for providing exceptional engineering design, manufacturing, global fulfillment, and aftermarket services to OEM innovators in the life-science, pharmaceutical, data storage, homeland security, and power management industries, among others. President and CEO, Chris Coghlin was in attendance and accepted the award. He attributed the success of the 130-year-old family business to its dedicated Caring Associates, many of whom are residents of Westborough and its surrounding communities. Read more about this event.
