Columbia Tech Streamlines Supply Chain Management with New VP

Columbia Tech is pleased to announce the hiring of Scott Johnson as Vice President of Supply Chain and Inventory Management. Mr. Johnson joins Columbia Tech after directing supply chain management programs for Motorola Mobility and Lucent Technologies.

The new vice president will be a key member of Columbia Tech’s executive management team tasked with bringing the company’s supply chain and inventory management practices to a higher level. Mr. Johnson brings 25 years of experience with inventory and supply chain programs, including expertise implementing Motorola’s industry-leading Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices.

“Our customers will benefit from the improved quality and greater flexibility Scott’s expertise will bring to our supply chain management practices,” said Randy Ziffer, Sr., VP of Manufacturing Operations for Columbia Tech. He continued, “We expect Scott will drive improvements in supplier performance and advance lean manufacturing principles at Columbia Tech.”

A graduate of New Hampshire College, Mr. Johnson holds certification in the Association for Operations Management’s Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program. He lives in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts with his wife Renee and children Alexander and Megan.
